Fish Creek Corner

This was my "quick paint" piece for the 2023 Door County Plein Air Festival in Door County, Wisconsin. I love this iconic corner in Fish Creek. This year the garden under the Crush sign was really full and the most beautiful I've ever seen it. We had two hours to complete a painting, and I barely finished in time as a large pickup truck parked right in front of the scene (illegally!) for 20 minutes just as I had started blocking in the painting! So this one was actually painted in just over 90 minutes...a record for me! And it sold at the live auction that same afternoon.
